PhD Prize Interdisciplinary Research for Malcom Ferdinand

Malcom Ferdinand, a post-doctoral researcher on the Confronting Caribbean Challenges project,  has been awarded the prestigious 2016 PhD Prize for Interdisciplinary Research, which is given out by the Humanities and Sciences Institute of Paris (Institut des Humanités et Sciences de Paris IHSP). He was honored for his doctoral dissertation entitled An ecological thought from the Caribbean world: Political and philosophical issues of ecological conflicts (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Puerto Rico) which was defended at the University of Paris Diderot.  The prize provides €1500 for the researcher and €1500 for the publisher for the dissertation.
