Library

The KITLV Library holds a very extensive collection of books, journals, magazines and newspapers on Southeast Asia, the Pacific and the Caribbean area. Its main focus is on Indonesia, where it has had its own acquisitions office for over 25 years. Outside Indonesia itself, the KITLV Library is generally considered to hold the world's largest and best collection of written documents on and from Indonesia. Its Caribbean collection is also considered to be outstanding.

The Library catalogue can be searched by means of our extensive online catalogues.

To facilitate subject searches our Thesaurus is available on-line. The catalogues of the Library (books, periodicals and articles collections; ) may be searched with keywords derived from the KITLV Thesaurus.
