History of the Police in Suriname, Netherlands Antilles and Aruba
The history of the police in the Dutch Caribbean, viz. Suriname until it gained its independence in 1975, and the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba until this very day. 

 

In Search of Middle Indonesia
For four years, five PhDs and a dozen postdoctoral researchers have been studying (lower) middle classes, and particularly youth, in Indonesian provincial towns. 


Javanese Migration 
A pilot study on Javanese migration and the formation of cultural heritage in Suriname, Indonesia, and the Netherlands.

 

Recording the Future
An audiovisual archive of everyday life in Indonesia in the 21st century. Every four years recordings are made at the same locations (Jakarta, Delanggu, Payakumbuh, Kawal, Sintang, Bittuang, Ternate, and Surabaya) in order to trace changes and continuities
