KITLV researcher Wouter Veenendaal wins Annual Political Science Prize

Dr. Wouter Veenendaal, who will start working at KITLV from September 2014 onwards as a postdoctoral researcher in the project Confronting Caribbean Challenges, has won the Annual Political Science Prize (Jaarprijs Politicologie) of the Dutch-Flemish Political Science Association (Nederlandse Kring voor de Wetenschap der Politiek).

This prize is annually awarded to the best PhD thesis in political science or public administration completed at a Dutch or Flemish university. Veenendaal won the prize with his dissertation Politics and Democracy in Microstates, on the basis of which he obtained his PhD at the Institute of Political Science of Leiden University on April 10th, 2013.
