Article by one of our researchers, Sarthak Bagchi, on a small comparative study of Indian and Dutch election campaign: ‘From social media use to anti-islamic rhetoric, similarities in Indian and Dutch election campaigns’ on the website The Wire.

While there are some striking similarities, the Netherlands’ participatory representative democracy highlights what’s missing in India, especially when the space for debate and discussion is increasingly under siege.
