PhD defence by Ridho Reinanda: ‘Entity Associations for Search’

On Thursday 11 May KITLV-researcher Ridho Reinanda defended his PhD thesis ‘Entity Associations for Search’ successfully, at the University of Amsterdam. Reinanda’s research was part of the Digital Humanities project ‘Elite Network Shifts’. For this project Reinanda investigated how entities, like the names of politicians, could be retrieved automatically from newspaper articles and how these entities (names) could be linked to each other, for how long and connected with what knowledge about these names and relations.

Congratulations Dr. Ridho Reinanda!
