Oproep tot aanvragen Philippus Corts Fonds

Op 1 juni 2021 heeft The Corts Foundation (TCF) haar werkzaamheden formeel beëindigd en haar vermogen overgedragen aan de Vereniging KITLV. Met deze middelen is een fonds in het leven geroepen ter ondersteuning van onderzoek, bronnenontsluiting en publicaties: het Philippus Corts Fonds (PCF). Het PCF heeft als taakstelling:

Het preserveren en toegankelijk maken van originele archiefbronnen (in lokale talen en het Nederlands) in Indonesië en Nederland die betrekking hebben op de gedeelde geschiedenis van deze twee gebieden in de periode 1602 t/m 1949, met speciale aandacht voor de periode van de VOC en de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Azië.

Het aanvragen van een subsidie bij PCF staat open voor studenten en onderzoekers, werkzaam in Nederland of voor een gezamenlijk Nederlands en Indonesisch team, die in collecties in Nederland en/of Indonesië wetenschappelijk onderzoek verrichten en bijdragen in lijn met de vermelde taakstelling. Per jaar is ongeveer € 15.000 beschikbaar. Het maximum aan te vragen bedrag per aanvraag is € 7.500.

Call for proposals Philippus Corts Fund

On June 1st, 2021, The Corts Foundation (TCF) formally terminated its activities and transferred its financial assets to the Members’ Association KITLV. With this capital a fund has been realized to support research, making sources accessible and publications: The Philippus Corts Fund (PCF). The PCF considers its task to be:

To preserve original source materials and make these materials accessible (in local languages and Dutch) in Indonesia and The Netherlands, pertaining to the shared history of these two areas in the period 1602 – 1949, with special attention to the periods of the VOC and the Second World War in Asia.

Applying to PCF is open to students and researchers working in the Netherlands, or to a joint Dutch Indonesian team, conducting scientific research in collections in The Netherlands or Indonesia in line with the PCF goals. Each year approximately € 15,000 will be available. The maximum amount that can be applied for is € 7,500.
