16 Nov Lecture Harry Poeze on National Hero’s Day in Indonesia
On National Hero’s day (Hari Pahlawan Nasional) on 10 November 2018, Dr. Harry Poeze gave a lecture about the life of Tan Malaka at the opening of the exhibition ‘Surat Pendiri Bangsa‘ (Letters from the Founding Fathers) at the National Museum in Jakarta.
This exhibition shows personal letters from Sukarno, Hatta, Haji Agus Salim, Sutan Sjahrir, Ki Hadjar Dewantara, RA Kartini, John Lie, and Tan Malaka.
With this exhibition historian and curator Bonnie Triyana wants to invite people, and especially younger generations, to experience how to obtain facts directly from primary sources.
