Siegers-Samaniri, MA Yayah
Yayah Siegers-Samaniri (MA) studied Southeast Asian/Indonesian Studies at Leiden University. She is the communication officer and event coordinator for KITLV and coordinates the secretariat of the European Association for Southeast Asian Studies (EuroSEAS) which is hosted by KITLV in Leiden. She is also the project coordinator of the ‘Island(er)s at the Helm: Co-creating research on sustainable and inclusive solutions for social adaptation to climate challenges in the (Dutch) Caribbean‘ project.
From 2011-2014 Siegers worked as an education and research staff member for the School of Asian Studies (SAS Indonesia), Leiden University Institute for Area Studies (LIAS). Since 2015 she is affiliated with Leiden University as a guest employee (gastmedewerker).
