A year ago on 14 September 2017, Queen Máxima performed the opening ceremony of the Asian Library of Leiden University. A unique programme of events on Asia was offered during the day, including lectures, debates and pop-up exhibitions. To mark this very successful day Leiden University decided to organize an annual Asia Day in September.
