Hsar Doe Doh Moo is a passionate environmental educator, researcher, and planner with extensive experience in teaching, curricula design, teacher training, participatory research, and Indigenous-centered planning and implementation of Indigenous K’nyaw/Karen conserved territories and environmental stewardship projects.

Hsar Doe Doh Moo is a passionate environmental educator, researcher, and planner with extensive experience in teaching, curricula design, teacher training, participatory research, and Indigenous-centered planning and implementation of Indigenous K’nyaw/Karen conserved territories and environmental stewardship projects. Hsar began his career as an educational worker and teacher, teaching at post-secondary schools in Karen refugee camps on the Thailand-Burma border. Since working with the Karen Environmental and Social Action Network (KESAN) in 2013, Hsar has successfully led several environmental education and research projects in the Karen community. His profound knowledge lies in designing and implementing evidence-based environmental education and stewardship programs that connect community empowerment, cultural revitalization, intergenerational knowledge sharing, and ecological sustainability.  He is passionate about providing opportunities for Indigenous youth and exploring innovative ways to inspire youth to carry on indigenous biocultural values and concepts.
