Pia Duran is a filmmaker-artist for impact currently focusing on the intricacies of the Ocean and Just Transition.
Her storytelling addresses global challenges through her cross-cultural work spanning Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Latin America, exploring intersections of climate justice, Indigenous displacement, gender injustice, and human rights.
Pia’s films move beyond the screens and are backed by impact strategies that raise awareness, influence global policies, support reforestation efforts, provide direct livelihood, and amplify marginalized voices, from environmental defenders, Indigenous LGBTQ+ communities, to women and children in conflict zones.
A global changemaker, Pia is a founder of SineSoledad, a storytelling hub for Global Stories with Impact; a 2025 Davos50 delegate at the World Economic Forum Annual Summit; a Young Global Changer Finalist in Berlin; a member of the Global Impact Producers Alliance, and a One World Media Fellow in London.
Through every story she tells, Pia reimagines a world that is compassionate, loving, and just for all.
