Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somkhit BOULIDAM, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), National University of Laos, Lao PDR. She holds PhD in Engineering Land and Water Management from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Science (BOKU) in Vienna, Austria. Her expertise is associated with Environmental Impact Assessment, Climate Change, Natural Resources Management. 

She has been working as lecturer in university over 30 years, over 20 research topics, and national consultant for over 15 projects, such as the “Basin-wide Assessment of Climate Change Impacts on Food Security and Adaptation in Lower Mekong River Basin employed by Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRC), and the National Wetland Expert Field Team, Lao National Mekong Committee (LNMC); “Improving the Resilience of the Agriculture Sector” (IRAS) for Community-based Extension in Support to Water Management for Agriculture Adaptation to Climate Change by Smallholder Farmers in Laos employed by the UNDP; Leading of data collector Disaster Risk Reduction by Integrating Climate Change Projection into Flood and Landslide Risk Assessment employed by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES); “Climate Impact and Adaptation Sectoral Strategy for Rural Infrastructure in Lao PDR” employed by the ABD; “Integrated Nature Conservation and Sustainable Resource Management in the Hin Nam Nor Region” khammoun Province for Natural Resources and Environment employed by the GIZ;  Qualitative research (Key informant interview and focus group discussions)-Based line impact evaluation on civil registration CRVS in Lao PDR;  and also Endline household survey data for the CRVS employed by the World Bank (WB); There are two phases of Social – Economic Household Survey for the Project for Acceleration of the Clearance of Unexploded Ordnance in the Southern Region in the Lao PDR employed by Japan International Cooperation System (JICS); Post Project Review of “People Protecting Ecosystem in the Lower Mekong” employed by Oxfam Solidarity Belgium (OSB), Assessing Environmental Impacts Caused or Contributed by the Hydropower and Rubber Tree Plantation in Lao PDR employed by Oxfam Novib (ONL) under UNDP Project, and so on.
