TRACE Postdoctoral Researcher Wengki Ariando delivered a featured webinar presentation for the fifth Indonesia–OECD Dialogue on Island Economies. 

The high-level event was organized by the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) in collaboration with the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE). This dialogue is a key part of the ongoing support for Indonesia's accession process to the OECD, with Bappenas serving as the co-lead for Regional Development.

Invited to provide the scene-setting address for the session "Pathways to Archipelagic Resilience – The Blue Economy, Connectivity and the Water–Food–Energy Nexus," Wengki Ariando presented his research titled "Navigating The Nexus: Sea Nomads, the Blue Economy, and Pathways to Archipelagic Resilience in Indonesia."

During his presentation, he highlighted the key developmental challenges and opportunities facing island and archipelagic territories today. By centering the traditional ecological knowledge of sea nomads, Wengki Ariando demonstrated how indigenous marine resource governance intimately connects to local economic contexts, offering vital pathways for sustainable resilience.
